When not working, I can often be found on or near the water - sailing, fishing, diving, or kayaking. I am a life-long resident of Mantoloking, New Jersey, along the shore of Barnegat Bay.

Starting in the fall of 2007, I became involved with the not-for-profit Mount Washington Observatory as a summit volunteer. The observatory is located at the summit of Mount Washington (New Hampshire), which is known for its extreme weather. The picture above was taken from below the summit last winter. You can see more pictures of this and other trips here. I have now spen tsever weeks on the summit as a volunteer, and also participated in the the 2008, 2009, and 2010 Seek the Peak Hike-a-thons, which is a fundraiser for the Observatory.
